Students
Matthews.ie have throughout the years helped a lot of students commute to and from college in Dublin, Drogheda & Dundalk. The option to go by bus allows each student to save on accommodation, continue to enjoy the home comforts and keep the part time job which is key to help anyone through the term. With the service students can choose from a variety of times to suit their academic calendar allowing for late starts but also the timetable allows student to stay on if needed and travel home at a later time. Now in Dublin with the location of the Leap stop, more and more students have access to many areas of the city. For all the information you need please visit our dedicated college page.
Taxsaver Tickets
Commuters who are entitled to claim tax relief to travel to work can do so by availing of our taxsaver travel scheme. This scheme allows you to apply for 3, 6, 12 month tickets through your employer and in turn deductions are made through payroll on a weekly/monthly basis.
These tickets are not incorporated onto a personalised leap card.

Gift Vouchers
Why not give the gift of travel to someone special, with a voucher from Matthews.ie which can be used on our commuter service? Vouchers for our commuter services are the perfect way to offer a friend or family member an easy travel solution and are available in a series of denominations. You can purchase any of our vouchers from the Customer Service desk at Marshes Shopping Centre or by contacting our office on +353 42 9378188. Alternatively, send an enquiry and a member of staff will get back to you.

I’ve left my purse behind, on two separate occasions, and Martin the DCU driver has always gone above and beyond to ensure its safe return. Absolute life saver of a service from Drogheda to UCD Belifed. The car parking rules have been made stricter, and even staff permits more expensive this academic year, and your still not guaranteed a spot. And that’s after a 5am start just to get there for the chance to possibly get a spot, and if you get stuck in traffic you’re goosed. So the direct bus saves so much hassle it’s unbelievable. Medals all around!!

Catherine PorterKaren, I want to contact you to ask for my praise and thanks to be passed on to one of your drivers. His name is Paul and he drove from Dublin to Bettystown (via Drogheda) on Feb 28th 2017. I live near Dundalk, and my daughter was on the above mentioned service last night. On arriving in Drogheda she discovered she was on the wrong bus, and was now stranded in Drogheda at night in the dark. Paul was good enough to drive her to Southgate shopping centre where she could wait in safety for me to collect her by car. He also gave her other advice to try to get her home safely. Like all big companies, I’m sure you get plenty of complaints, but on this occasion its praise all the way for this gentleman. I hope you can identify him, and pass on the genuine appreciation from all my family for his kindness.
