Description

Join us on a trip to discover the largest collection of vintage transport and the largest Agricultural fair on the British Isles, the Dorset Steam Fair. An added bonus on this trip is a visit to the Shrewsbury Fair, another popular fair on the agricultural calendar. A trip with so much to see and do.

Itinerary

Day 1: We catch the early morning sailing to Holyhead before continuing along the North Wales coast to our hotel and base for the next two nights ,arriving early evening.


Day 2: Today we travel the short distance to Shrewsbury to catch the last day of the traditional steamfair. With over 1000 exhibits and an impressive variety of working displays this vintage rally is a must for enthusiasts .After a full day at the show we return to our hotel in time for dinner.


Day 3: We travel southwards today taking in some splendid countryside en-route to our base for the next 4 nights close to the Dorset Steam rally at Blandford Forum. Comfort stops will bemade en-route. We arrive at our hotel early evening.


Day 4,5,6: The next three days are for you to explore the wonders and attractions of this magnificent show, regarded as the worlds leading heritage show. You will be amazed at the variety of exhibitions and the shear scale of the show means that there is something for everyone to explore. With outdoor concerts, a full funfair, 1000’s of working exhibits it offers an unique blend of nostalgia and entertainment. An evening visit is also included to experience the show by night.


Day 7: We must leave the south coast this morning and head northwards to our midlands hotel where we arrive in time for our eveningmeal. Comfort stops will be made en-route.


Day 8: We leave this morning and travel to North Wales in time to catch our afternoon sailing to Dublin arriving home early evening.


Hotels: Holiday Inn, Telford. Hilton, Southampton. Baron Court,Walsall.

Each of the hotels is fitted with modern facilities as well as leisure facilities. With excellent bars, restaurants and finely appointed bedrooms they are a popular choice with coach parties.
