Matthews purchase over €13000 in Vouchers from Carrickmacross Chamber, Nice One Dundalk & The Marches Shopping Centre
MATTHEWS Coach Hire and Coach Tours Ltd, Inniskeen have given a big Christmas boost to Carrickmacross business by purchasing Chamber of Commerce shopping vouchers for their staff to the value of €4,000. The company will hand over the vouchers to its drivers and office staff this week by way of a Christmas bonus. The company, which also runs a daily Dundalk to Dublin return commuter service, has also purchased vouchers for a similar amount from Dundalk Chamber of Commerce.
“This is about local business supporting other local business and we at Matthews’s are very glad to be doing our bit to keep Christmas trade at home and particularly in these difficult economic times,” said Matthews Coach Hire Managing Director, Paddy Matthews.
Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce President Jim Hand said that the gesture was ‘absolutely fabulous’. “At the end of the day if it wasn’t for businesses like Matthews Coaches the Carrickmacross Chamber voucher scheme wouldn’t work. I also have to acknowledge other businesses who support our voucher scheme too such as Kingspan, Macfab and Gernord– the the list goes on. This is sending out the right message. This means that people who work for Matthews get to spend money in Carrickmacross where they will get excellent service and value for money.”
